Nov/Dec 2021: Cheshire Community Action is a local charity that helps people in rural communities to access the services they need. We understand that there are barriers for rural communities in accessing services that are often provided in larger urban towns, which can be a disadvantage for rural residents.
We are aware of an increasing need for mental health support. To help us develop mental health services for rural areas we are carrying out this anonymous survey of rural residents to understand how mental health needs may be changing and how they may have been affected by the pandemic.
There are 10 questions and it should only take a few minutes. Thank you.

OCT 21: Local mental health trust, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP), is working on a new plan called ‘Imagining the Future’ aiming to work in partnership with local people and organisations – and would like to hear your views. More information is available via the summary document below.
If you would like to comment on the plans you can complete the survey here.

Cheshire Police appreciate that caring for people with dementia is challenging – and that planning ahead and keeping safe is really important. There is often a risk that people living with dementia can at some point start to ‘walk about’. While this may only be into the garden or street and returning a short time later, some people can get lost and go missing. This can lead to feelings of confusion, fear and vulnerability for individuals and their families, particularly at night time or during times of extreme weather.
The HERBERT PROTOCOL is a form that carers, family or friends of a vulnerable person can fill in.
It contains a list of information to help the police if the person goes missing, including:
Keeping a completed form saves the worry of trying to recall the information during the stressful time of someone going missing. It also saves time for the police, allowing the search to start sooner.
