Covid Vaccine Rollout - Nantwich and Rural Care Community

Covid Vaccine Rollout

Our covid-19 vaccination programme continues at Nantwich Civic Hall.

Please help us deliver the programme by following this simple guidance :

Patients aged 65 or older who have not yet had their coronavirus vaccine but would like one are now being asked to contact the NHS. A NATIONAL ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM can be accessed for this OR patients can call 119 free of charge between 7am and 11pm.

Aside from this cohort all patients will receive an invitation to book their vaccination either by text or phone call directly from their GP Practice. PLEASE DO NOT contact the NHS to seek a vaccine without this notification as patients will be invited in specific groups according to the priority order as shown in this poster from Public Health England

Given the current pressures on the NHS our GP Practices are working hard to deliver the Vaccination Programme and to ensure everyone’s safety. please be assured that GP Practices are still open as normal for routine appointments.

The NHS will only receive each vaccine batch at quite short notice. We would therefore kindly ask for your understanding that you might receive your notification also at relatively short notice.

Please be vigilant of any suspicious notifications and be mindful that you will NEVER be asked for bank details.

For all the guidance you need in advance of your vaccination, including questions and answers and links to further information on both the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and the Oxford/Astrazeneca vaccine, please click on the NHS Coronavirus Vaccination Information page.
