About this event :
This inclusive event, which is open to self-advocates as well as professionals, supporters and family members will explore a range of topics following a similar format to national Network meetings.
This will be the first in-person meeting of its kind since the pandemic and we look forward to sharing our experiences and learning from the last 18 months, as well as looking onward and upward at how we support relationships and social connection going forward.
The topics we will explore at this event include:
– Sharing our lockdown highs and take-away ideas
– A national Supported Loving introduction and update from founder Dr. Claire Bates
– Update on our various projects with CQC and Skills for Care
– LGBTQ+ training taster session from self-advocate group
– Family carers and support staff working together to support love – sharing ideas
– Relationships Champions – a model of support for providers
And if all that isn’t enough to tempt you – they’ll be a FREE LUNCH too!!
Places are free and we encourage attendance from anyone with an interest in the topic.
If you book a slot and can no longer attend, please cancel your place so the space can go to somebody else.
