October 1, 2021IRIS is a local charity established by local visually impaired people dedicated to achieve Independence and Rehabilitation for those with Impaired Sight. Sight loss can be challenging, and people will deal with it in many different ways. Our approach at IRIS is to understand this, to reflect this in our person-centred approach, and to work with you so that you can face the future with some confidence.
IRIS provides:

Access to low vision services for those with enduring sight loss
- Aids and equipment to promote independent living
- Social and fun activities for people with sight loss
- Transcription services into large print, audio and braille
- Vision awareness training provided free to local schools
- General advice and information on eye health and local services.

After nearly two years our Monday morning activity group is finally back…we returned on Monday 4th October, 2021.
