We offer a range of free physical activity classes including body conditioning, stretch and flow, chair-based exercises, circuits and many more!
You will also receive support from your personal Health and Wellbeing Coach who will complete a physical activity assessment before you start so that they can help you set activity goals that are personal to you and ensure the class is the right levels for you.
The Wellbeing at Home programme is a free, 12 week programme aiming to increase activity levels and improve wellbeing of over 55 year olds living in Cheshire.
Groups of up to 10 people will meet on Zoom, for 1 hour per week, on the same day and at the same time. Sessions will be delivered by the Active Waterways team and our wonderful Active Waterways volunteers.
Over the 12 weeks we focus on both physical and mental health and wellbeing. Discussions are held around the heritage of the canals and rivers in Cheshire and the wildlife they support as well as showing several virtual canal walks we have created, allowing the group to enjoy a relaxing and informative wander along the canal/river, from the comfort of their own home.
We bring our attention back to the 5 Ways to Wellbeing throughout the programme and we start each session with a relaxing 5 minute mindfulness activity.
We will be delivering 10 minutes of gentle activity (chair based classes/breathing exercises/Work out for Seniors with Joe Wicks/pilates etc) and each week we share a local walk route with the group, and online activity resources for those who aren’t currently accessing the outdoors.

Our Lose Weight programme is a 12-week online group behaviour change course, which arms you with the tools and information to not only lose weight, but instilling habits to keep the weight off.
You will also have access to our range of courses, including free use of Slimming World’s successful programme.
