In the autumn of 2021 we launched our new counselling and befriending service. Do you need support to manage your mental health and stay well?
Our Twitter feed is kept right up-to-date…
There are so many different ways you can volunteer with us but however you do it, you’ll benefit from role specific training, gaining new skills and making an important and valued contribution to our work. We are always happy to hear from talented people who might be able to help us. The first step is to find out more here.

We’re here to challenge ageism and discrimination and tackle the inequalities that exist in older age. We will focus our resources on the critical areas of health and care, loneliness and poverty and concentrate our efforts where we will have the greatest impact and reach.
Whatever happens as we get older, we all want to remain independent and live life on our own terms. That’s why, as well as offering regular friendly contact and a strong campaigning voice, Independent Age can provide you and your family with clear, free and impartial advice on the issues that matter: care and support, money and benefits, health and mobility, bereavement and more….
With older people at the heart of everything we do, we want to share with you, our friends and supporters, our campaign work as we strive to make the United Kingdom a better place in which to grow old.
Metabolic Support UK is the leading patient organisation for Inherited Metabolic Disorders, supporting thousands of families worldwide.
Its mission is to be the world’s leading advocate and provider of bespoke support to families, signpost to the best experts, raise awareness amongst the medical, healthcare, social care and teaching professions and fund research for treatments and ultimately cures.

For parents we produce a monthly Newsletter that is sent out to all our members, with current news articles, signposting and reference material and has a Diary of Events detailing everything we are doing the following month.
We help by educating you about the possible difficulties your child may have at the moment or in the future, with advice, support, signposting and information.
We have an Advocate who can help parents with many issues that they may experience when negotiating their way through the education, health and care systems to achieve the best for their children.
