Cheshire Autism Practical Support (CHAPS)
October 30, 2020Our ethos is working proactively and positively to achieve our aims, to improve autism awareness, increase independence skills and use early intervention techniques to improve outcomes for children.
For parents we produce a monthly Newsletter that is sent out to all our members, with current news articles, signposting and reference material and has a Diary of Events detailing everything we are doing the following month.
We help by educating you about the possible difficulties your child may have at the moment or in the future, with advice, support, signposting and information.
We have an Advocate who can help parents with many issues that they may experience when negotiating their way through the education, health and care systems to achieve the best for their children.
There is a commissioned 6 week post-diagnostic course for parents whose children have been recently diagnosed, or who are on the diagnostic pathway. All parents of patients in Nantwich and Rural Care Community are eligible to apply for this free course by filling in this form on the website.
